At the heart of our newest mobile terminals is a core modem that reduces the size of the terminals and extends battery life from the usual three years up to seven years, doubling battery life of trailer tracking products on the market. By eliminating the need for frequent battery replacement or using unreliable and expensive rechargeable batteries, TransCore’s customers enjoy the lowest cost of ownership in the truck transport industry.
Through this technical advancement and the advent of the third generation core modem, TransCore is able to offer two GlobalWave® satellite data communication terminals, one for basic tracking applications, Slap & Track™, and one that enables both tracking and monitoring, Sense & Track™, with a full suite of sensors. Both enable two-way, all-satellite, nationwide communication between fleet operators and assets.
All of our terminals are environmentally sealed and fully tested to withstand shock, vibration, high-pressure wash, and other harsh environmental conditions while enabling the transmission and receipt of all the information you need to manage your fleet. Information can be transmitted in prescheduled, event triggered, or polling modes depending on your needs.
