TransCore RFID Tags
In 1988, TransCore began shipping its first hard case RFID transportation tags to the marketplace. Since then, TransCore has shipped millions of tags for transportation applications ranging from electronic road tolling, intelligent transportation systems (ITS) for automatic vehicle identification (AVI), positive train positioning for railroads, and parking and security access control applications.
In May 2000 TransCore introduced IntelliTag®, the first high-performance, low cost, flexible windshield sticker tag for use in high-speed transportation applications. IntelliTag was rebranded the eGo® windshield sticker tags when TransCore acquired Amtech in 2000, Due to the overwhelming industry acceptance of TransCore’s eGo windshield sticker tags, millions of eGo high performance sticker tags have been deployed around the world.
Today, TransCore offers both tag-packaging options – hard case and flexible “sticker” tags.
eGo® Plus Windshield Sticker Tags
Developed to replace TransCore’s single-protocol eGo Windshield Sticker Tags in 2005, eGo Plus Sticker Tags are high performance, read/write, multi-protocol, 915 MHz radio frequency tags. They are beam powered, windshield-mounted tags that support the Super eGo (SeGo), eGo, and ATA protocols. Packaged as flexible windshield stickers, eGo Plus tags are perfect for applications requiring high performance, high speed, and low cost. Because eGo Plus windshield sticker tags support multiple protocols, they are an ideal choice for seamless migration from legacy, one protocol tag populations to one tag with multi-protocol capabilities .
eGo Plus Sticker Tags are suitable for a variety of automatic vehicle identification (AVI) applications including: electronic toll collection, airport ground transportation management, traffic management, border control, homeland security, electronic vehicle registration, parking, and security access control.
eGo Plus windshield sticker tags are read by TransCore’s Encompass family of multi-protocol readers, described below.
