RFID Readers
TransCore provides two general classes of readers depending on application requirements – single protocol and multi-protocol. Further, readers might be fixed mount or portable (handheld) models. Performance and selection of an individual TransCore reader is wholly dependent on the application environment in which the reader is to be deployed.
Encompass® Multi-Protocol Readers
The brand name, Encompass, is used to identify all TransCore readers with multi-protocol capabilities. Ranging from the ultra-high performance Encompass 6 to the mid-range Encompass 4 readers, there is an Encompass reader to match the applications’ requirements.
As new multi-protocol readers are developed and released, they, too, will be added to the growing Encompass family of readers. Following is a quick guide to current Encompass readers:
