Electronic Toll Collection Readers
Depending on your application requirements, TransCore offers two general classes of readers – multi-protocol and single protocol. Additionally, readers might be fixed mount or portable, handheld devices.
Encompass™ Multi-Protocol Readers
TransCore’s Encompass family of multi-protocol readers, featuring the Encompass™6, designed specifically for high speed toll applications, are the only readers available that are interoperable with all transportation-related protocols commonly used in North America.
Protocols supported include:
- American Trucking Associations (ATA)
- Interagency Group (IAG)
- California Title 21
- Commercial Vehicle Inspection Systems and Networks (CVISN)
- Allegro (a variant of the California Title 21 protocol used by toll authorities in the Southeastern United States)
- eGo® (ISO 18000-6b standard)
