Installed systems primarily utilize TransCore’s AT5510 tags that are encoded per the ISO 10374 container identification standard. Tractor tags are encoded per the ATA Standard for trucking applications. These recognized international standards are fully compatible and interoperable with the American Association of Railroads AEI standard for all railcars in North America. An additional option is to utilize the new, lower cost eGo Window Sticker tag, mounted on inside of the windshield rather than externally on the cab body. This approach allows more efficient, automated access to the port facility.
TransCore offers passive RFID tags are configured to work in the 860-960 MHz, 902-928 MHz, and 2450 MHz bands ensuring radio-regulated compliant performance in each country of use. In other words, the single tag you choose can work in the country of origin, and the other countries through which your freight passes.
To support wide-area tracking and reporting of chassis, TransCore has an innovative mobile satellite GPS (GlobalWave®) system, which complements the RFID solution. Both systems possess their appropriate advantages, and together can meet all track and trace requirements, while providing a single point of contact.
