Secure and efficient access control
Expanding the Secure Electronic Network for Travelers Rapid Inspection (SENTRI) concept into a voluntary vehicle registration program creates a secure and efficient access control system for border crossings and public or private facilities. The system can be adopted for military bases, federal buildings, and state and local government complexes as well as for certain private entities that deal with sensitive materials. The system also could be used by inspection or regulatory agencies as part of licensure, tracking, and monitoring requirements for private or commercial vehicles.
